Ignorance is a big problem and the myopia that comes with it. If you asked me what to do, I'd suggest geography classes so that Americans would at least know where such and such a country is what kind of people live there. There's a saying in Spain: You can't love something you don't know. Paddy, I agree with you 100%. The big paradox about the US is that it WANTS to be a nice country with high values but the problem is that it must pillage and bully other countries to maintain its high standard of living. The whole country puts me in mind of a spoilt child who is also a bully, and will stop at nothing to keep what he thinks is rightfully his God given right.
